The Two Odors of Iron When Touched Or Pickled (“De Twee Geuren Van IJzer Wanneer Het Wordt Aangeraakt”) is a story about three brothers, their father and grandfather and the impossibility of failing in an environment where being successful is an obligation.
Together with writer Philip Huff and producer Stienette Bosklopper I developed the screenplay. The way I see the film is as a wild, visceral experience, depicted in a raw, ‘documentary’ way and driven by an experimental, literary narrative style and black humor.
